It’s late and I should be in bed, but I know how a particular little 4-year-old girl anticipates our updates:). We had a great meal out with friends today at a Chinese restaurant. They introduced us to pork congee, a favorite dish of Ai Li’s. It was pretty good! Now I need to learn how to make it.
Yesterday we had a family send-off meal at another yummy Chinese restaurant. This little girl is going to be well-loved as the whole family is anxious to have her home.
We’ve been working on a lot of things at home. Tonight I packed Ai Li and I’s clothes. It took a good 3 hours – trying to get the perfect outfits that would minimize space and be cool in the super hot weather we’ll be in. As I packed though, I started to get overwhelmed by all we have left to do. Keith has even more to do than I and he has to work this week! Much like when you’re nearing the 9 month mark of your pregnancy, when you adopt you want to be completely prepared. I may have to settle for somewhat prepared.
