In about 72 hours we will finally meet our daughter! I say the words, but I really am not comprehending that this is finally happening! My mind is caught up in the details to prepare too much to actually think through it all. We’ve had some very late nights lately and I think that explains my current head ache.
Accomplishments for today included:
-Took my last morning jog – probably for quite some time!
-Notified bank and credit card company of our travels.
-Got a bunch of $1 bills from the bank for tipping.
-Packed the gifts for people in China (foster family, orphanage directors, nannies, officials…it is cultural to give gifts in China)
-Packed toiletries and meds
-Returned library books
-Had dinner with our friends, a fellow adoptive family, and picked their brains (thanks guys!)
-Passport photo copies
-Visit with Grammi
-Checked on the last grant we applied for and haven’t heard back from (still no luck getting through)
Here’s the little crib quilt I finished for Ai Li, just in time!
