Today we had our 6 month post-placement visit. It comes a day after we’ve been home 5 months, but needs to be submitted to China by 6 months. We enjoyed meeting with our new social worker. She assured us that Liliana is doing very well – with attachment and developmentally. She gave us some good suggestions for parenting our kiddos, and she put up with our sick son who was nasally yelling “blow my nose!” every few minutes.
We are planning to list our condo this weekend, and have been doing projects, cleaning, organizing…. like made the last couple weeks. It has been stressful to manage Koen and Liliana along with the added responsibility of getting and keeping the place spotless. I’m not sure how I’m going to survive the next few weeks or months until we find a buyer. Pray it doesn’t take long and that I have patience with my kids – not getting perturbed when they make messes…..
On another note, I’ve loved watching the Olympics this year. It has certainly been fun to be an American and see so many medals for the USA. I especially enjoyed watching an amazing ladies free skate last night – so many inspiring performances. What will I do when the games are over?!
