Glen Alpine Falls at the end of Fallen Leaf Lake.
Dinner time at camp (across the street). Every night the staff families join the 90 students that are here for summer project and we eat dinner together. The kids love the firends they're making. Liliana is particularly social with the students.
A day at the beach with Grandmas. The kids got very wet!
Gramma gave the kids these boats to pull around in the water - a big hit!
On the last day of the Grandmas’ visit, we drove around the lake – 72 miles, stopping at many highlights along the way.
First stop: Eagle Falls
Then we spent some time in Squaw Valley - home of the 1960 Winter Olympic Games.
My Mom treated us to a cable car ride to the top of the mountain for my birthday. Both kids loved it and the view was amazing!
Looking down at Squaw Valley from the cable car.
At the top - High Camp
Koen - Olympic Champion, Mortimer the Monkey - the silver medalist! Taken at the Olympic Museum at High Camp.
Next stop was Memorial Point on the NE side of the lake.
So many fun rocks to climb on!
From there, Mom, Koen and I took a little hike to Sandy Harbor beach where we joined the rest of the group.
A viewpoint along our little hike.
The kids enjoyed playing in the water at Sandy Harbor. It was a very beautiful spot!
