My life isn’t quiet, that’s for sure, but adoption things are this week. Our social worker went on a week long vacation right after our 2nd visit, but is back this week. I was hoping we’d have a draft by now, but I guess it is a huge and important document…. hopefully soon.
As the Director of Cleft Initiative for Love Without Boundaries, I am in charge of getting children lined up for LWB’s next Cleft Exchange, which is coming up in April. Last year I got go, but this year I’ll be supporting them from here. This is my favorite time of volunteering for LWB, getting lots of new little ones, organizing their photos and medical records, choosing special western names for them….. in general seeing the children who will soon have new smiles. Below are a few of the children who will have lip repairs in a little over two months from now.
Now it’s time to get all 30+ children sponsored so their surgeries can happen. If you’d like to sponsor a child, here’s the link: LWB Medical Donation Page.
These little ones make me all the more anxious to see the face of my baby.
